Abstract

Malaria is a disease that has been known since ancient times and is seen in 300-500 million people per year in developing countries in tropical regions. It has been reported that 2-3 millions of these patients die, and malaria ranks sixth to eighth among infectious diseases1 . It is known that malaria affects many organs and systems, especially the hematopoietic system, and complications related to these systems are responsible for mortality and morbidity. Changes in the hematological system, especially erythrocyte count and platelet count have been associated with mortality2,3.
